Shri Rural Development CouncilEducation Welfare
“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.” – Malala Yousafzai. Access to education has always been a major concern for the financially disadvantaged in India, particularly in rural areas. Unfortunately, students from marginalized communities such as SC, ST, and OBC face additional challenges that further limit their access to quality education. Recognizing this issue Shri Rural Development Council has been working tirelessly to provide free education to underprivileged students. To ensure that these students have a safe and comfortable place to stay while pursuing their education, we have established a school to provide free education to students from 5th to 12th standards. In addition to the school, we also run hostels for boys and girls from these backward communities, namely Late Atmaram K Chhatralay and Kautilya Kumar Chhatralay.
Women Empowerment
Our beloved organization Shri Rural Development Council has also been working towards rural development through women’s empowerment. In rural areas, women play a vital role in society, yet they face several challenges in terms of access to education and opportunities. Since 1995, we are tirelessly working for the upliftment of unprivileged rural women by raising awareness of women’s rights and making them able to earn their livelihood on their own. Regarding this, we are also providing vocational training in fields such as tailoring, stitching, beauty parlor, and embroidery. To date, we can proudly say that we have helped 50 women in purchasing stitching machines from our donors and contributed to building the economy of rural India more stable and strong. By empowering women, Shri Rural Development Council is not only transforming the lives of individuals but also creating a more equitable and just society.
Awareness of Government Scheme
Shri Rural Development Council is actively involved in creating awareness among rural communities about various government schemes that have been launched for the betterment of the minority backgrounds such as SC, ST, OBC, and others. Through its efforts, we have helped to bridge the gap between the government and the people, ensuring that the benefits of various schemes reach those who need them the most. In this regard, we conduct seminars to raise awareness among them as they have not always been much aware of these schemes. Under the guidance of the District Social Welfare Officer of Gujarat, we have conducted 3 seminars, which have informed over 1000 people about government schemes and helped them to avail the benefits.
